The Eddie Davisson Band is more than a band — it’s a living piece of Appalachian heritage. Rooted deep in the hills of West Virginia, the group carries forward generations of music, storytelling, family tradition, and blue-collar spirit that have echoed through the mountains for decades.

Fronted by West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Charles “Eddie” Davisson, the band’s sound is built on a lifetime of real experiences — hard work, family, faith, heartbreak, celebration, and the enduring spirit of Appalachia. Raised in Big Rock Camp, West Virginia, Eddie grew up surrounded by old-time musicians, church singing, and front porch picking, creating a style that naturally blends country, blues, rock, and mountain music into something unmistakably authentic.

Eddie began performing professionally at just 13 years old and has spent more than five decades entertaining crowds across West Virginia and beyond. His distinctive guitar style and soulful voice helped shape a musical legacy that continues today through his sons, grandsons, and the generations of musicians influenced by him along the way.

Whether performing in small-town honky-tonks, outdoor festivals, community gatherings, or alongside national touring acts, the Eddie Davisson Band represents the heart and soul of West Virginia. Their music comes from real life, real people, and a deep love for home.

At its core, the Eddie Davisson Band stands for family, tradition, and keeping Appalachian music alive for future generations — one song, one story, and one crowd at a time.

Charles “Eddie” Davisson is a consummate musician of West Virginia, his distinctive guitar style and authentic blend of country, blues, rock, and mountain music, Eddie began performing professionally at just 13 years old and has spent a lifetime entertaining audiences throughout West Virginia and beyond. Over the years, he has performed with numerous regional acts and continues today as frontman of the Eddie Davisson Band.

Eddie is also recognized as the patriarch of the Davisson Brothers Band musical family, performing alongside his sons Chris and Donnie Davisson and several of his grandsons both on stage and in the studio, including appearances on the band’s album Home Is Where the Heart Is.

Widely respected throughout Appalachia as a “living legend,” Eddie Davisson’s lifelong dedication to music, family, and West Virginia culture earned him induction into the West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame.
