After zero guesses on from which show Franky was choreographing for our upcoming MCAP performances 😂 these videos will make it obvious - we are doing selections from A Chorus Line! The show which requires a true triple threat, and these hardworking, young artists are on their way. Do YOU think “they’ll get it?”

Today, the MCAP students worked with guest choreographer Franky Satterfield until they were exhausted! They learned proper technique and terminology for movement that is challenging but obtainable by all the students of varying experience. This is one of the most incredible parts of the MCAP program - some students have danced for 15 years while others, this is the first time. The students are met where they are on their artistic journey and nurtured so they gain confidence and continue to develop. We are so proud of them and as you can see by the last picture, they put in maximum effort to learn this choreo in two hours!

From which musical are they dancing? Guesses?

The answer will be revealed in a separate post of video clips from today’s session. 🎵 🎭 🕺 💃

Our first rehearsal on “We Both Reached for the Gun.” This is an incredible group! Look at the joy as they finish the song. This is what it is all about - seeing the students feel accomplished and proud of their work. Don’t miss our MCAP performances July 29 - 31!

Our youth musical theatre program (MCAP 2026) kicked off yesterday!!! Some of these students met as strangers or acquaintances but already left with a circle of friends. You can see it in their faces!

The MCAP theatre family grows each year and is now over 50 strong over all our years.

This week is floating enrollment and the last chance to join for summer 2026. Please reach out if you would like more information or to enroll in our musical theatre intensive.

Tues/Thurs from 12:00 – 3:00 pm ET

We work around family vacations, camps, GSA and other summer activities as much as possible.
