I wanted to thank all the great people at Haddonfield Plays & Players for the opportunity to perform the show in an immersive format. The show took place in a variety of historical locations in downtown Haddonfield. It was a pleasure meeting the cast and crew and who knows, there may be a return next year... Casting Notice

We are excited to announce our casting call for live immersive production of Sleepy Hollow the Musical.

Creative Team: Director: Amber Kusching
Playwrite/Musical Director Mathew Norcross

Show Dates: October 27th-30th
Rehearsals Begin: Early September

Description
This show will be a traveling show over several locations in Downtown Haddonfield. This will be interactive and immersive for the audience. This will also be a unique experience for both the cast and the audience as a part of the town’s Halloween celebration. This is going to be so fun!!

Preparation
First Round of Casting is via video submissions only. Submission Deadline is Tuesday September 7th.
Please prepare a 60-second monologue and a 16-32 bar sample of singing any style.
Be prepared for cold readings from the script for callbacks.

Callbacks will be in person September 9th at Haddonfield Plays and Players by invite only.
In an effort to keep the team safe, all actors cast must have proof of vaccination by callbacks.

Role Descriptions

All roles are available to all ethnicities.

ICHABOD 20s-30s Lanky, charming schoolmaster and conniver. Parades as genuine and confident but is actually very cowardly. Tenor

JOHANN 20s-30s Ichabod's servant. Brains of the operation. Great comedic timing. Baritone

BROM BONES 20s-30s Strong, almost intimidating presence. Blacksmith. The "Gaston" of Sleepy Hollow. Baritone

BALTUS 40s-60s Katrina's father. Very protective. Wealthy and looking to impress. Baritone/Bass

KATRINA Late teens-20s Sweet ingénue type. Torn between Brom and Ichabod. Soprano

MRS. K 40s-60s Protector or Katrina. Great comedic timing. 1 each: Soprano, Mezzo & Alto

MRS. TUCKER/ ELSA 40s-60s Schoolmistress who has a fling with Baltus. Great comedic timing.
MADELINE 40s-60s James' mother.

JAMES Late teens-20s School boy Tenor

LETICIA/ ENSEMBLE 20s-30s Brom Bones admirer. Must be a good dancer.
MALLORY/ ENSEMBLE 20s-30s Brom Bones admirer. Must be a good dancer.
MATILDA/ ENSEMBLE 20s-30s Brom Bones admirer. Must be a good dancer.

Additionally, If anyone has a horse and/or horseback riding mastery, singing is not required. Any gender identity and race to be considered. A small fee can be provided for animal transport costs and other related costs.

Here is another bio from one of our student performers!

Lila Swietanski (Ensemble) is excited to be returning to the Ritz Theatre stage. Recent credits include Peter Pan, Jr. (Wendy), Is There a Doctor in the House (Gypsy Hagg), and Mulan, Jr. (Mulan). Lila will also be taking stage shortly as (Mayzie la Bird) in Seussical, Jr. A special thank you to her vocal coaches Liv and Tyler. She would also like to thank her family for their continued support and Matt Norcross for this opportunity.

Alexia Shepherd (Ensemble) Favorite Theater Credits include Chicago, 12 Angry Jurors, Beauty and the Beast and Into the Woods. Alexia is in the Performing Arts Academy at Burlington County Institute of Technology .
