Sorry this is a little late from the Market at the Park last week. I have been busy doing some home projects that needed done and some reading. Our Library has a great summer adult reading program and I love it. Our Market last week was again so wonderful, with a light North breeze and 13 vendors showing up. Of course, what little produce went very quickly. We still had lots of other items including those wonderful brown eggs that are now a part of our market. The CMS sandwich sale of Mill Creek made rites were luscious along with sweet watermelon. Look for our next CMS sandwich fund raiser in July. Iowa Coffee Cup was busy with people getting nice cool drinks, including me with a strawberry banana slush, to cool me off. We have a church doing activities for children, Gregg's Beautiful Bird Houses, I wish my house looked as great as the homes he creates for birds, lots of bakery items, crafts, and sweets from Durant. We had a medium crowd but what is important is the fellowship that continues on at our Market. People sitting in the picnic tables just enjoying the conversations outside. As the breeze started to go away, the bugs took over. Thankfully, the market was about over. In conversations, I met a man who heard about our market at the Tipton Market. Thank you to Tipton for supporting all Farmer's Markets. Also, thank you to all who entered the park at the right speed, SLOW, it makes it safer for those who walk across the road and children headed to the splash pad. I hope to see you at the park. All Thursdays this summer, except July 4th. This week: CHUCKIES!
