We baked 2 cherry and a blueberry pie. I broke down and tried frozen fruit for pie filling. The solid top cherry and the blueberry are made with frozen fruit. I wanted to see how they would compare to my fresh cut fruit in the Cherry pie with the lattice top.

I baked a total of 4 pies for retirement at my job. The person retiring requested an Apple and a Pecan. I made a lemon Meringue and Chocolate meringue to go with them. If and when you want a pie let me know and give me a day or 2 notice. I will be baking several this week for a couple events.

This pie was more of an experiment. I made a dairy free chocolate filling plus, a sugar and dairy free chocolate filling. The dairy tasted pretty close to the original, the sugar and dairy free was ok but very "fake sugar" tasting. The pie was sugar and dairy free, even the meringue was made with sugar substitute. Hands down the most expensive pie I've made so far. Sugar substitutes are pretty expensive in comparison to real sugar. The side shot of this pie was pretty sad, I almost didnt want to post it.
