As most of you know, I entered 4 pies in the county fair and won a blue for each pie. Now that I've gotten good at making pies, I decided to try making different jams. Today I made 8 different flavors of jam including 3 spicy jams (almost no heat this time around). I made Cherry, Cherry Jalapeño, Strawberry, Strawberry Jalapeño, Peach, Peach Habanero, Blueberry, and Blackberry. Soon I will attempt Apple butter, pear butter, and peach butter.

Michelle and I framed my ribbons with a county fair promotion poster. I think it turned out pretty good. Maybe next year...

I made a cherry pie at the request of the guy that works at Daylight Donuts in Claremore. Waverly and I go every Saturday morning and Waverly gets to say hi and pass out hugs and fist bumps to the guys and girls that work there. I also got to use my newly acquired braiding skills. That lattice took a while to get on there but they are looking better each time.
