‼️‼️‼️UPDATE‼️‼️‼️

Wow, another year has gone by and it is almost that time again. We hope 2023 has treated you all well. Many of you probably don’t know who is behind A Miracle On Elm Street so just a little background. We are lifetime residents of Chilton County. We have been blessed in the past years to spend a lot of our adult years with our parents. God always has a plan and I absolutely believe He makes things happen for a reason. Growing up, our house was decorated, inside and out, at Christmas. We are a small family who enjoys the holidays and putting smiles on people’s faces. My sister and I moved into the home in 2017. We did live in an area that had no traffic so we were excited to be somewhere that was traveled often. It was that year that we started decorating for Halloween and soon followed Christmas. Our mom was excited to hear that we wanted to do this since we always did it growing up. A few years ago we made a page and since then we have grown so much.

We were a little delayed last year on Halloween and that was due to a family emergency. That emergency involved our dad being put in the hospital and having an unexpected surgery. In 2016 he was diagnosed with cancer and thankfully went into remission. We still needed our dad here on this earth. The surgery last year was to remove a tumor. He had cancer again but this time one that doesn’t slow down. We made the decision to continue with Halloween since we were halfway finished and he was doing good on treatments so we continued with Christmas.

For almost a year we tried multiple treatments, traveling to three different states to see doctors but nothing would shrink this demon. We found out just two months ago that he was diagnosed with the wrong cancer but we were too late. On September 4th he was called home to be with our Heavenly Father. He was a fighter and wanted to live as long as he could to be with us. He had a good relationship with our Lord so we have no doubt that he has been healed now. Although the void in our hearts will never be filled, we have so many good memories to look back on. His career was in the construction field so he helped us with anything we needed built. He was our handyman!

With all that being said, it is with deep sadness that we let all our followers know we have canceled this years Halloween and Christmas display. We need this time to heal from our loss and work on navigating our new life without our precious daddy. If you believe in prayer, please remember us.

We will miss seeing everyone this year but hope to come back in 2024. Thank you to all who have supported us, given donations, and came by to see the display. Much love to all of you! ❤️

‼️Lights will be on tonight, but will cut off a little early, around 8. We have to prepare for the high winds coming in tomorrow night.
Lights will not be on again until Saturday night.
We will be keeping them on until New Years so if you haven’t made it by, you still have time! 💚❤️

We had our annual fire truck parade last night with Collins Chapel fire station and other volunteer departments in the area.

No rain was in the forecast this year which was a blessing! A little colder than we wanted, but hey it wouldn’t feel like Christmas time without colder weather.

All the lights are on outside, everything in place, and all inflatables are situated like they should be ✔️✔️✔️

Visitors are starting to pull-up to await Santa’s arrival! 🎅🏻

One hour before showtime, Cindy Lou was about to start prepping the famous “hair-do” and the house went black. 💡

Oh no…we flipped a breaker - that’s normal for us haha!

But that wasn’t it! We looked at the neighbors…their lights off too. The entire street off!

What is going on?!? A tree had fallen on the power lines. Alabama Power was down the road to fix the lines.

The show has to go on…too many kids is expecting a fire truck parade, to see the Grinch and most importantly, a visit with Santa!

Cindy Lou gets on the phone with Collins Chapel’s fire chief, Trae Caton. He says the fire station is out too. He comes by and says he might could get enough generators. So everyone comes together to try and get us going. Y’all….our community is like no other! He delivers with generators. We cannot say enough about our awesome fire chief! We are so thankful to have him.

25 minutes until showtime!

Trae has one outlet back on and is working on getting the other one going but still has inflatable side to go.

The power gets RESTORED and everything comes back on. The words from the fire chief, “IT’S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE” ✨

What almost was a disaster, turned into a great story! The night was AWESOME!

We want to thank Collins Chapel for letting us partner with them each year for their fire truck parade. Thank you to all the other departments that participated! THANK YOU to Alabama Power for getting us back on.

We absolutely LOVE our community! 💚❤️

🎄🎄🎄🎄Chilton County's Festival of Lights🎄🎄🎄🎄

Gather the family, a cup of coffee/hot chocolate, hop in the car, turn up the christmas music, and have a holly jolly night looking at christmas lights. I would like to thank everyone who helped me create this and thank you to the residents in this list for all their work.

Chilton County's Festival of Lights Tour

‼️Well…..I think winter is finally here. Unfortunately, that brings storms and high winds. Even with the slightest wind speed, the inflatables start rocking and we don’t like running them when that happens. We will not be on tonight 12/13 or tomorrow night 12/14. If winds calm down, we will be back on Thursday. Hope everyone enjoys their week and stay warm! ❤️💚
