‼️‼️‼️UPDATE‼️‼️‼️
Wow, another year has gone by and it is almost that time again. We hope 2023 has treated you all well. Many of you probably don’t know who is behind A Miracle On Elm Street so just a little background. We are lifetime residents of Chilton County. We have been blessed in the past years to spend a lot of our adult years with our parents. God always has a plan and I absolutely believe He makes things happen for a reason. Growing up, our house was decorated, inside and out, at Christmas. We are a small family who enjoys the holidays and putting smiles on people’s faces. My sister and I moved into the home in 2017. We did live in an area that had no traffic so we were excited to be somewhere that was traveled often. It was that year that we started decorating for Halloween and soon followed Christmas. Our mom was excited to hear that we wanted to do this since we always did it growing up. A few years ago we made a page and since then we have grown so much.
We were a little delayed last year on Halloween and that was due to a family emergency. That emergency involved our dad being put in the hospital and having an unexpected surgery. In 2016 he was diagnosed with cancer and thankfully went into remission. We still needed our dad here on this earth. The surgery last year was to remove a tumor. He had cancer again but this time one that doesn’t slow down. We made the decision to continue with Halloween since we were halfway finished and he was doing good on treatments so we continued with Christmas.
For almost a year we tried multiple treatments, traveling to three different states to see doctors but nothing would shrink this demon. We found out just two months ago that he was diagnosed with the wrong cancer but we were too late. On September 4th he was called home to be with our Heavenly Father. He was a fighter and wanted to live as long as he could to be with us. He had a good relationship with our Lord so we have no doubt that he has been healed now. Although the void in our hearts will never be filled, we have so many good memories to look back on. His career was in the construction field so he helped us with anything we needed built. He was our handyman!
With all that being said, it is with deep sadness that we let all our followers know we have canceled this years Halloween and Christmas display. We need this time to heal from our loss and work on navigating our new life without our precious daddy. If you believe in prayer, please remember us.
We will miss seeing everyone this year but hope to come back in 2024. Thank you to all who have supported us, given donations, and came by to see the display. Much love to all of you! ❤️
