🎭 MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL PLAY INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS — CAST & CREW 🎭

Do you know a student who is interested in being part of the Middle School Fall Play? Read below for details on how they can be involved.

‼️ Please note that there are TWO separate informational meetings depending on how your student would like to participate‼️

This meeting is for students who are interested in auditioning for an acting role and performing on stage. Important information will be presented with details about auditions, rehearsals, and student expectations.

➡️ Students interested in auditioning should attend with at least one parent/guardian.

This meeting is for students interested in participating behind the scenes as a member of the crew. For the Middle School we have students on Set Crew (Building the set and props) Booth Crew (Running the lights and sound) and Costume Crew (Taking care of all costumes for the show). This meeting is for ALL crew members.

➡️ Students interested in crew should attend with at least one parent/guardian.

🎭 Shakespeare comes to life this summer! 🎭

Join us this Friday for an exciting afternoon or evening of classic theatre as our talented middle school students, high school students, and community adults take the stage in a celebration of Shakespeare!

Our middle school students will be performing "Late Knight Shakespeare"
Our high school students will be performing "Romeo and Juliet"
Our adult community members will be performing "Julius Caeser"

From comedy to drama, this special community performance showcases scenes and selections from multiple Shakespeare plays, bringing together performers of all ages for an unforgettable experience. These actors have been working hard over the past 2 weeks to put together a amazing Shakespearean experience for all!

The Centennial High School Speech Team is proud to announce the addition of Melissa Krieger to the Centennial High School Speech Team’s coaching staff!

Melissa is a long-standing and highly regarded member of the Centennial High School speech and theater departments and the Centennial community.

While at Park High School Melissa was a member of the speech team where she was a speech captain, letter earner, and mentor to incoming freshman. She competed in the categories of Drama and Dramatic Duo. During college she taught theater performance for Edina’s Summer Shades program. From 2015 to 2023, Melissa’s sons were members of the Centennial High School Speech team. She served as a coach for the team during this time and served as a middle school speech judge. Additionally, she was the Secretary of the Centennial High School Theater and Speech Boosters, serving on multiple committees from 2015 to 2023.

Since 2018 she has been the Centennial Theater Minnesota Thespian Conference Executive Coordinator, where students and herself attend the yearly event, and participate in workshops on theater interpretation, theater games, speech coaching and judging. She is also the Centennial High School Theater Coordinator for the “Spotlight” program and the “Theater Beyond” program, that brings more opportunities for education, learning, fundamentals and experiences for high school students in the theatre program.In 2019 she was a co-director of CHS’s play, “Becoming Memories”.

Since 2019 Melissa has served as the Music Director for Centennial High School’s musicals, directing the music rehearsals for the cast and conductor for the pit orchestra.

Melissa has been a substitute teacher for the Centennial School District since 2011 primarily in all areas of music. She has held multiple long-term substitute positions in music and high school English. She was awarded the Minnesota recipient of the Sallie Mae First Class Teacher Award in 1998. We are so very excited to have Melissa on board and are looking forward to a fantastic speech season in 2026/2027!
