The mission of Matinée Musicale Cincinnati is to serve and enrich the Greater Cincinnati community through professional recitals of classical music as well as events such as master classes. We also award grants to qualifying nonprofits focused on music education and hold a yearly scholarship competition for area high school and college instrumentalists and singers. The IVCI’s 12th Quadrennial Violin Competition has invited 40 violinists to compete in the opening round this fall.

Today, on the anniversary of his birth, we're remembering German baritone Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. We were lucky to have him perform on our recital series in 1958!
