The lawn and seated sections are beginning to take shape.

The first and second levels reveal the venue’s tiered design, featuring gradual elevations and interconnected walkways where thousands of seats will soon be installed. Both levels will sit beneath an expansive roof structure.

The third level is also coming into focus. Along the north side of the venue, the foundation and rear eight-foot wall for the lawn are now visible, defining an elevated section that will overlook all the action on stage.

As the walls begin to rise, one of the venue’s first architectural finishes comes alive: burnished block.

These concrete masonry units, enriched with natural aggregate, are selected not just for strength but for their decorative character. Distinct from traditional block, they will be sealed and polished to reveal a smooth, luminous surface that elevates the exterior aesthetic.

Work also continues on the backstage building adjacent to the stage, a future retreat where artists will relax before stepping into the spotlight.

The 3rd level is beginning to take shape.

The new level will connect to soon-to-be completed work on the 2nd level, which involves setting raker forms for concrete pours. This structure will eventually support a reserved seating area.

Once the 2nd level is complete, construction will progress upward as the Level 3 lawn is formed, seamlessly connecting the two levels. The concrete surface will then receive a specialized traffic coating to enhance durability, improve water resistance, and ensure safe footing.

The 3rd level will be home to the general admission lawn area. Outfitted with field turf and plenty of concession areas, it will offer an elevated viewing experience nearly 50 feet above the 1st level concourse.

Before daybreak, lunch break, or any other break, these folks were hard at work pouring concrete for the second level of Farmer Music Center.

An 80-foot pump truck was set up on the south end of the venue so the boom pipe could raise the hose to the proper height. As concrete flowed onto the rebar, nine mixers kept the fresh concrete flowing without pause.

Today’s second-level work follows the first pour on Monday, which laid down 1,400 cubic yards of concrete in total.

You're looking at the future site of the concourse area, which will include concession stands, bathrooms, and prep stations. Look up, and you'll see you're one level under the elevated lawn.

If you’ve driven east across the Combs-Hehl Bridge lately, you've probably noticed a massive steel structure rising from the site. This framework will become the stagehouse, enclosing the stage and backstage areas while supporting the roof and lighting catwalk.

Twelve steel columns rise from the base, each reaching 60 feet tall and reinforced with diagonal bracing. At the crown of the structure sits the massive proscenium truss, welded into place as the central structural element that will support every roof truss from the stage to the lawn. Tipping the scales at more than 60,000 pounds, it forms the backbone of the entire roof and is anything but lightweight.

We’re setting the stage. Literally.

The future Farmer Music Center stage has officially been poured. Spanning 6,250 square feet, this is where every moment will unfold for years to come, with your next favorite band standing center stage.

Concrete footings and foundations were carefully constructed to support the structure. The foundation was then filled with gravel and reinforced with a re-steel and mesh framework, supporting six inches of smoothly finished concrete enhanced with a black color additive.
