IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE 2026 HAUNT SEASON
To our volunteers, supporters, sponsors, and friends,
After discussions with the MAAC Foundation, we have learned that the MAAC Foundation Board of Directors has voted not to host the Haunted Attraction on the MAAC campus for the 2026 season.
According to the Foundation, this decision was driven by an exceptionally busy training schedule, continued campus growth, and ongoing construction projects that limit their ability to safely and effectively accommodate the event this year. As many of you know, the Haunted Attraction utilizes a significant portion of the training campus during its operation.
While we are certainly disappointed by this news, we completely understand and respect the Foundation's decision. The MAAC Foundation exists first and foremost to support first responder training and public safety, and those responsibilities must remain their highest priority. They are ours as well.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the MAAC Foundation, its leadership, staff, and Board of Directors for providing a home for our attraction over the years. Together, we created an experience that entertained thousands of guests while helping support charitable and community-focused initiatives. The partnership allowed us to build something truly unique in Northwest Indiana.
We are especially grateful to the hundreds of volunteers, actors, builders, makeup artists, security personnel, vendors, and supporters who have contributed their time, talent, and passion to make the attraction possible. The success of the event has always belonged to all of you.
The Foundation has indicated that they would be open to discussing a return to the campus in future years once construction is complete and campus operations stabilize. They have also offered assistance should we choose to relocate the attraction to another venue and continue operations elsewhere.
At this time, no final decision has been made regarding the future of the attraction. We will be meeting with Foundation leadership and evaluating all available options. Should there be any developments, we will share them with everyone as soon as possible.
For now, there will be no Bogathy Fright Productions Haunted Attraction at the MAAC campus during the 2026 haunt season.
Thank you for your continued support, loyalty, and dedication. What we have built together over the years has been extraordinary, and we remain proud of everything this community has accomplished.
