What do selling your home 🏠 and putting on sunscreen 🧴 have in common?
If someone doesn’t have your back, you’re going to get burned 😡.

I've often said, "Sometimes an artist leads a painting; most times the painting leads the artist." I started working on this last summer. I got mad at the underbelly of the horse and threw it in a sketchbook. I happened upon the drawing a few days ago. I started working on it again and then a lady showed up. 😂 Is the statue looking at the lady or is the lady looking at the statue? 😆

Edward Hopper once said, "My aim in painting has always been the most exact transcription possible of my most intimate impressions of nature."

Although I'm definitely no Hopper, I share that same motivation. This mixed media work that I am finishing is the most exact transcription possible of my intimate impression of The Betts House in Cincinnati.

"The Betts House has been part of Cincinnati's history for over 200 years. Built in 1804 by William and Phebe Betts, the house is the oldest surviving brick building in Cincinnati, made with bricks using the clay-rich soil from their land." (Source: The Betts House Cincinnati)

I'm an artist and a REALTOR®, or a REALTOR® and an artist, who knows Cincinnati very well!

What real estate needs do you have, and how can I help you?

Final Friday at the Pendleton Art Center was nice tonight; several curious art lovers on a perfect spring night! They tolerate my lack of house keeping in my Studio, 509 A. ;) 😂

Every so often I paint what I call a muse painting. In creating a muse painting, I pay close attention to the fundamentals of art-making yet I "go with the flow" if you will: I have no predetermined objective or end state.

I've been working on this painting for the past couple of weeks. One thing that happened during this process was, I saw a photo of the eight billion light year beam in the universe that scientists recently talked about.

It's always interesting to see where the muses lead me on these kinds of paintings 😁.
It's not yet titled. What would you title it?

Very interesting! "According to a new study, people who are exposed to art on a weekly basis are about a year younger “biologically” than those exposed only once or twice per year"! Here's the article.

I arranged a few paintings on my apartment wall. They are what I call "muse paintings", where I follow the fundamentals of creating a painting but I go where the muses take me ;) :)
