The Cincinnati Fringe Festival is over. However, before this chapter closes, I would like to take a moment to thank some people and organizations.
Thank you to the Cincinnati Fringe Festival for providing me the opportunity to premiere this work. This story has been stuck in my head for three years, yearning to get out.
Thank you to First Lutheran Church Cincinnati for being an excellent venue. In a small way, this is a weird sort of homecoming from me. Many, many, many years ago in my youth, I performed only a few feet from where the show was set up in the sanctuary.
Thank you to Kate, my amazing venue tech! Kate knew the show could look better after tech and continued to make adjustments to make the show look as good as possible.
Thank you to people who are muppets (you know who you are).
And finally, thank you to you! Our amazing audiences. The show would not be a show without you. I would especially like to thank our final audience which was our biggest audience of the fringe and filled with so many unexpected surprises and whose engaged energy filled me with the ability to perform the best show on the run. Thank you. Thank you all who came to see this show that meant so much to me.
The story might be over for now, but hopefully not forever. In the next few weeks/months, I will be working in the background to tweak White Whale to make it more easily tourable to other venues and fringes. I am determined to make sure that this story does not become forgotten again. Till next time, continue to explore the wonders all around you.
