Teaching the team that When it comes to event decor, the difference between “looks nice” and “looks breath-taking” comes down to attention to detail.

Every guest views the space from a different angle, and even minor flaws can draw the eye for the wrong reasons.

Here are four golden rules for decor ex*****on:

Master the Drapes: Fabric should never look bunched, lopsided, or unevenly gathered. Ensure seams are hidden, tension is consistent across every drop, and floor lengths kiss the ground cleanly without excess pooling unless explicitly designed to puddle.

Precision Placement: Don’t just place an item…align it. Centerpieces, place settings, and seating cards must be aligned using precise visual sightlines, not quick guesses. If a row of tables is off by even an inch, it breaks the symmetry of the room.

Test Every Focal Point: Walk the space. Stand at the entrance, sit in the guest chairs, and view the stage/backdrop from the far edges of the room. What looks good up close might reveal exposed cords, visible tape, or awkward gaps when viewed from a distance.

Hide the Mechanics: Zip ties, gaffer tape, sandbags, and hardware make the magic happen, but they should be completely invisible to guests. Double-check all floral rigs, pipe-and-drape bases, and lighting cables before doors open.

Taking an extra 10 minutes to walk the floor and fine-tune these details elevates the entire experience. Let’s make sure every angle looks effortless!
