Started two new projects today, still in progress. Between getting the big painting done and spending three days with God, I’m feeling rather creative.

The first pic is a charcoal landscape from Yellowstone. Still a lot to go, but off to a good start.

The second one is just a tiny glimpse of the edge of a monochrome painting I started.

One year ago one of my pastors had a picture the Lord had shown her, she gave me some details and asked me to paint it. I brought it before the Lord to “fill in” the rest and what He showed me was so incredibly challenging. Pretty much anything the Lord shows me to paint is only possible with His help. (There’s a story there, ask if you don’t know it.) It has taken me a year to complete this painting because I would stop and start over and over again. There were some elements that were so challenging I had to stop and wait until the Lord said, “now.” Whenever He is in it, there is an ease to the work. If He’s not, I might as well not pick up the brush. Today I put the final brushstrokes on. Thank you Jesus for seeing me through! Finishing a challenging painting is always bittersweet.
