Important People

Important People Important People is a diverse collective of writers based in Cincinnati.

They came together to create an inclusive environment that extends beyond the boundaries of a traditional reading series: a place where literature, culture, community, and all genres of creative endeavors can act in conjunction as forms of expression and transmission. With poetry as a central motif, Important People encourage collaboration and connection between various art forms, including writing, performance, music, food, dance, fashion and beyond. They seek to unify poets, artists, and members of the Cincinnati community by presenting celebratory affairs that may function as vehicles for wandering, for generative thinking, for associating, and for sharing affiliations.
