So one piece of advice I’ve been told as an artist who aspires to do murals is when applying for events just apply to anything even if you think it’s out of your league since anything is possible and some events even look for emerging artists.

I have a die hard fan from Sweden who loves my work and talks to me on instagram quite often and she sent me a link for a $170,000 opportunity to do a mural for a parking garage in Miami, FL and while they stated they’re looking for experienced muralists (whatever that means) I shot over an application because she would love to see my work on such a huge surface and she says there are lots of organizations that support emerging artists. Only 1 person wins the contest but shooting my shot is better than not shooting it at all lol but regardless I’d love to do a big mural in a city like Miami far from home. I’m also honored to have fans that love my work a lot and want to see it go far, especially fans from overseas!

For 2027 I want to escalate my art game (I want to every year though, lol) and apply to do more murals and join more events even if I think I’ll be rejected just because you never know when you might win a golden opportunity. For large-scale murals that require a boom lift or scissor lift I need to look into getting a license from OSHA since a license is required for a lot of these projects. Time to keep plugging along and big thanks to all those who love my work and want to see me go the extra mile! 🙏🙌
