HOLY COW SERIALS 16 GOES UP IN ONE WEEK! :D

Take a look at this amazing line up for episode 1. You're going to go on so many wonderful adventures in week one ALONE! Not to mention all of the surprises that Alexx, the Know, and I have cooked up for y'all along the way.

Here's what you gotta know:

What is Serials?

A theatre festival bringing you 15-minute episodes of five new, never-before-seen different plays by local playwrights, every two weeks, for a total of five installments!

When is Serials?

First episode drops at Know Theatre of Cincinnati January, 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Who is Serials?

Serials is made entirely by wonderful and passionate artists right here in Cincy!

Beyond excited for everyone to see the amazing work our cast has been doing. Come to the Know at 7:30 ready to laugh and smile because these actors are going to take you on the most delightful spooky ride of the season!

As we continue to Actor Spotlight our hilarious and talented cast, did you know you actually can’t spell hilarious and talented without Sydney Vollmer? Don’t think about it too hard, just trust us. Because Sydney is a shining example of what it means to be both hilarious and talented.

Sydney is stoked to be back as Casper Banquo! Her character is brave, but she’s a scaredy cat who prefers Halloweentown and other kid-friendly frights.

She is a puppeteer with Madcap Puppets where she is currently performing in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Earlier this year Sydney starred in The Village Players’ production of “These Shining Lives.”

Until recently Sydney had mostly done film, but she loves the stage and is truly grateful to her brilliant friends Alexx and Zach for including her!

Little does Sydney know that she is the brilliant one and we’re truly grateful she’s lending her sweet silliness to our show! Don’t miss her as Casper Banquo-the indie horror darling of the 2020s-this weekend in Ghost Stunters at The Know Theatre of Cincinnati!

Zoë is a local powerhouse theatremaker that we are extremely lucky to have in the Cincinnati area! If you don’t know her now, you definitely will soon, because their many talents are already taking the city by storm.

Zoë Peterson (She/They) is an actor and award-winning playwright currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio. While here, Zoë earned a BFA in Acting from CCM at the University of Cincinnati, in addition to a Minor in English and Screenwriting Certificate. Additionally, Zoë helped to produce the 2023 Transmigration Festival of student-devised plays and was the recipient for the University's Best Play Award in 2023 and 2021. Beyond CCM, Zoë has premiered works at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival and Serials! At the Know. Zoë enjoys returning to their hometown of Louisville, KY, to participate in ten minute play festivals and making puppets for their recurring interactive horror-comedy series, Sally Salem. When not covered in fake blood or hot glue, Zoë is the Education Associate for Cincinnati Shakespeare Company and a teaching artist for CAPA and Kids Act Out; facilitating classes on acting and writing. A character-driven artist with a particular interest in new works, horror and classical theatre, Zoë often gets involved with genre-bending or absurdist projects.

And we are very excited to be one of those absurd projects that they lend their talents to. Don’t miss catching them as Dutch-the special effects extraordinaire-in Ghost Stunters at the Know!

First up in our Actor Spotlight we have the one, the only, the Mayor of Spooky Town themselves: EMILY BORST! We’ve worked with Emily countless times and you’ll absolutely understand why when you come see Ghost Stunters. Their comedic timing, earnest stage presence, and infectious hilarity will make you leave our show with a new favorite local actor. And that actor is our BFF Em! ⠀

⁣Emily is delighted to be here. Their religious watching of Ghost Adventures on Friday nights in high school has lead them to this moment. When not watching trash television, Emily is a local performer and writer. Emily has been seen on and off stage at The Know in Serials and Cincinnati Fringe. Other recent credits include Hairspray, The Wedding Singer, Peter and the Starcatcher, Beautiful, and …Spelling Bee with Cincinnati Landmark Productions. ⠀

Much love to their fiancé, Jack, who has bravely had to put with Emily playing Connor two times now. Also, if you ever need a good laugh, Emily recommends reading one star review of Zac Bagans Haunted Museum on Google. Truly hysterical and insane.

You can’t make a ghost hunting show without an amazing crew and we’ve definitely got the best one in town! 👻

Ghost Stunters wouldn’t be half as hilarious if it weren’t for our amazing and talented cast of comedic performers.

We’ll be spotlighting each of them as we lead up to our show, but for now, please enjoy this adorable photo of our entire ghost gang! Shout out in the comments if you recognize any of your friends or favorite local actors!

We’ll also have two surprise characters pop up that we can’t reveal on the cast list without spoiling the show! That’s a super fun thing we haven’t done before and we’re very excited about keeping you all in suspense. Let us know if you have any guesses as to who those characters might be ;)
