Join MUSE Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir for An Evening with Holly Near on Sunday, September 27 at 4 PM at First Unitarian Church of Cincinnati.

For more than 50 years, Holly Near has used music as a force for connection, courage, and social change. This special Cincinnati appearance brings Holly together with MUSE for an afternoon of powerful music, stories, and songs that have helped shape generations of feminist, peace, and LGBTQ+ movements.

This is more than a concert. It’s a gathering rooted in the belief that our voices matter — and that when we raise them together, they can move the world.

Season 44 started Monday, so we’re throwing it back to a few MUSE moments that remind us exactly why we keep coming back. 💙

The rehearsals. The performances. The community. The joy. The people who have filled these rooms, stood beside us, raised their voices with us, and helped make MUSE what it is.

44 seasons of singing loudly, showing up boldly, and building something bigger than any one voice.

And now, we get to do it all over again.

Season 44 starts TODAY. 🎶

Tonight, we’re back in the rehearsal room; voices together, music in our hands, and a brand-new season ahead of us.

For 44 seasons, MUSE has used song to build community, tell powerful stories, and raise our voices for justice. We can’t wait to see where this season takes us.

Here’s to the first rehearsal, the first notes, and everything we’ll create together.

Season 44 is getting closer! 🎶

This weekend, members of our MUSE community came together to welcome singers auditioning for our 44th season… sharing time, music, plenty of laughs, and a little behind-the-scenes MUSE magic.

We’re so grateful for the volunteers and community members who help make each new season possible, and especially for everyone who took the leap and auditioned. 💙

We can’t wait to see what Season 44 has in store. Still singing. Still building community. Still MUSE.

“I will be your Standing Stone. I will stand by you.”

Our hearts are broken to learn of the recent passing of Reverend Derek Terry 💔

A beacon of joy and support for so many… his loss will be felt deeply by the Cincinnati community and by our MUSE family.

We were lucky to have spent time with Reverend Terry at our fall retreat, where he lead a workshop celebrating Black, Q***r Joy and Resilience. A long time supporter of MUSE, he told our members of his first concert experience with us and a piece that had touched and resonated with him, Standing Stone.

At the end of the workshop, we surrounded Reverend Terry and sang this same song to him, some members learning it for the first time.

It was a powerful moment that impacted many of us in the room because it reminds us that in the hardest of times, the most important thing we can do is to be there for one another. 💙👥

Our thoughts are with the family, congregation and anyone who was impacted by Reverend Derek Terry.

Auditions for MUSE Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir are happening the weekend of August 22–23, 2026. Once you submit your audition form, we’ll reach out to schedule your specific audition time.
