This past Thursday, all six artists participating in Echoes of Plein Air: Cincinnati Reimagined came together at Eisele Gallery for the official draft that kicked off the exhibition. Nate Flanagan Richard Luschek B R A D D A V I S ELLINA CHETVERIKOVA Pamela Folsom Tony Lipps Art | Cincinnati | oil painter | portraiture

Each artist blindly selected a historic painting of Cincinnati and will now return to the location depicted in that work to create something entirely their own. The goal is not to recreate the historic painting, but to respond to it, exploring how the city, the landscape, and the artist’s perspective have changed over time.

Along the way, we’ll be filming each artist’s process, from encountering the historic painting and visiting its location to painting plein air and developing the finished work in the studio. During the week leading up to the exhibition, we’ll release a video following each artist’s individual journey.

Join us at Eisele Gallery on November 5 for the opening of Echoes of Plein Air; Cincinnati Reimagined and see where these six journeys lead.

Last night I got to do a live painting for a Bengals Tailgate themed charity event for Madi’s House. Madi’s House is dedicated to providing free mental health services. We got to meet two young men who were helped by Madi’s House. I’m so happy I was able to lend my services to this cause. My painting of Joe Burrow was auctioned off and pulled in $5400 and I couldn’t be more excited about being a part of such a great cause.

Meant to post this last week after dismantled ND. Great win for the tigers. Here’s an old commissioned painting I did of Princeton Lacrosse.

New WIP. I got this pic off of the Hopple St viaduct over looking a trail yard. I was hoping to have this done in time for Summer fair next week, but there is a lot going on in this pic. So probably not gonna happen. Either way, enjoy
