For those of you who were not there last night at Jim & Jack for the Queen of Hearts Drawing, THE QUEEN LIVES ON!!! She has survived 46 drawings and next week there are only 8 cards left. The card # picked last night was #31. Behind it our Sponsor of the Week was Miamitown Auto Parts, and the card was the 7 of clubs. It paid $100. The excitement grows as the Pot starts this week at $35,602. This is the second largest pot we've had in 3 years.

As I say every week, you cannot win if you don't have a ticket. You can get your tickets all week at Jim & Jacks. Just talk to their bar tender or any of the servers. Tickets are only $1 each and you can buy as many as you want. Cindy and I will be there next Friday around 5:00 and will start selling tickets and providing homemade cookies. Next Friday, Danny Frazier is scheduled to perform. We draw at 7:30 and Danny Frazier is scheduled to go on at 8:30, so come down early and make a night of it. The food is great, the entertainment is spectacular and you have a chance of winning half of $36,000 or more. Where else can you go on a Friday night and get all of that in one place?

I hope to see you there next Friday. Come and see if someone can find that rascally Queen. She has been elusive for 46 weeks so far, but her time is coming!

Sorry, this is getting out late, but we are HAVING A DRAWING TOMORROW NIGHT for QUEEN OF HEARTS at Jim & Jacks.... This will be week 42. The last Queen (on board 2) was found the first Friday of August one year ago! It was week 43. This happens to be week 42. BUT WE ARE DRAWING ANYWAY!!! So if you cannot make it tomorrow night, make sure you get you tickets. The POT is starting out at $27,656 and excitement is brewing. And we know someone is going to win this in the next 12 weeks or less. That's all the cards that are left and the Queen is hidin' in there somewhere.

Oh, we did have a drawing last week. The Number picked was 38. The Sponsor of the Week was Dunkin' of Delhi. The card was the 9 of Diamonds. The winner received $100.

So, if you want to win part of this POT that we got comin' up tomorrow night, you have to have a ticket. Somehow you have to get to Jim and Jacks and buy a ticket from the bartender or your waiter, get money to me or Cindy, or get down there tomorrow for the drawing. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE THERE TO WIN. What could be more important that trying to get your share of this Jackpot. I hope to see you there tomorrow night, and oh, by the way, Cindy will have cookies.

A tiny hummingbird chose a most unusual spot to build her nest—on a hotel door handle. At a Ritz-Carlton in California, staff discovered the nest and knew they had to act carefully.

Rather than disturb the mother bird, employees closed the entrance and redirected guests to other doors. They added “Nature in Progress” signs to make sure everyone understood the delicate situation.

Thanks to these thoughtful actions, the hummingbird was able to safely incubate her eggs and raise her chicks while hotel staff and visitors watched quietly, creating a small but remarkable story of kindness and respect for wildlife. 💛
