There will be a special "Homecoming" Mass at St. Francis Seraph Church in Over-the-Rhine on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 10:00 A.M., presided by Archbishop Robert G. Casey. This Mass marks the closing of the church and the friary.

St. Francis Seraph Church looms large in the history of the Catholic Kolping Society of Cincinnati, as its pastor in 1924, Father Maurice Ripperger, OFM, became the Society's first Praeses, and the official founding of the Society took place at St. Francis Seraph Hall on November 26, 1924. The St. Francis School Hall was used by the Kolping members for several years until they purchased the Kolpinghaus on Republic Street in 1930.

Come join the St. Francis Seraph Faith Community on Sunday at 10:00 A.M. for this historical Mass. The address is 1615 Vine Street.
