Anderson Art Collaborative Be believe when community and creativity collide, it creates lasting connections.

Our mission is to use art as a vehicle to drive creative collaboration to engage local artists and residents in fostering a healthy, vibrant and inclusive community. Our group was formed in the summer of 2021 when the AAC originated as a pop-up art group in Anderson Township, Ohio. We came together in a post-pandemic world by addressing the isolation epidemic that led to so many challenges in our

community. Our goal was to help all residents create both wellness and lasting connections – and using art as the vehicle to do so. Over the last few years, we’ve cultivated meaningful connections through new friendships, art shows showcasing local talents, collaborative community art projects, volunteer initiatives, and "Cheers to Creativity" – a monthly social event uniting artists and art enthusiasts alike. In February 2023, we officially became a non-profit organization with the dream of consolidating our connections and community in one space, an ART CENTER! STAGE 1 COMPLETE 🥳

A special THANK YOU to Cincinnati Metro for inviting us to be the ones to collaborate and execute their vision of this 46’ wall mural. They wanted this piece to reflect the heart of Anderson and East Side in a vibrant uplifting way, while also tying back to their branding. One requirement (which we loved!) is they wanted the community to ALL be a part of it!

Stage 1 was in full swing this past weekend with 49 groups and 124 participants for this BEAUTIFUL community mural at the Metro Ride and Share at Vantage Apartments, right here in Anderson. We are so excited that our community showed up to bring this piece to life. Thank you to everyone who made this happen!

There will be having a celebratory showcasing later this Summer, be on the lookout for that announcement! Don’t worry if you missed out, this is just the START of our hopes for Anderson.

Bring your friends and family for this FREE collaborative project. We are so excited to be partnering with Metro to paint a beautiful mural created by one of our own artist Sarah Ashley Art!

Think of it like paint by numbers, we will have everything set up for you just come ready to get a little messy. Let’s get to creating!
