💚 Congratulations to Erickson Academy senior 🤍abbie🤍 who graduated from McNicholas HS 💚

Abbie started Irish dancing when she was four years old, following in the footsteps of her two older sisters Erin and Ciara who danced with Erickson Academy, and her mother Siobhan who grew up dancing in Ireland. Abbie has loved competing at the local, regional, national, international and world level. Competing at all levels of competition, traveling to new cities, and meeting dancers from other schools have been some of her most memorable experiences. While Abbie has enjoyed much success as a competitor, she would say that performing on St. Patrick’s Day, at schools and nursing homes, bringing joy to people, is her favorite part of Irish dancing. Abbie is an open championship dancer and has competed as a soloist and on ceili teams, competing at her first Oireachtas at age seven.

At Mc Nicholas High School, Abbie was an American Youth Ambassador, Student Ambassador, Peer Mentor, Peer Minister, and Vice President of Women in Business. She has been involved with Hope Squad, Ecology Club and recently spent a week in China engaging in leadership and cultural exchange.

Abbie is a proud recipient of the Chick Evans Scholarship which is awarded to golf caddies. This scholarship awards full tuition plus room and board. Abbie will attend The Ohio State University where she plans to major in Environmental Science and minor in International Studies to continue her love of traveling and experiencing different cultures. We know Abbie will dance confidently in the direction of her dreams, and wish her the best as a Buckeye this fall! ☘️❤️🎓

🌹Congratulations to Erickson Academy senior .lawler_ who graduated from 🌹

Eleanor has been part of Erickson Academy since she was a wee one cheering on and watching her older cousins and sister dance. She officially started her Irish dancing career at age 9. Eleanor is an Open Championship dancer and has competed all across the country and globe. Most recently, she placed 10th as a soloist at the 2025 Oireachtas, 39th at the NAIDC, and competed at the Great Britains in London. She also competed in ceili at the 2026 Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne.

Eleanor has been an assistant teacher for the beginner dancers for several years and absolutely loves watching and helping them learn, from something as simple as teaching them how to tie their soft shoes to learning new steps. She and her friends have been great role models for these young dancers.

Eleanor is most thankful for her teachers who have not only taught her how to be an amazing dancer but more importantly to treat other dancers with compassion, respect, empathy and grace. She has made great friendships with so many here at Erickson and at other schools as well.

If you ever need to know a fact about Irish dance, Eleanor is your girl! She studies her competition to help her be a better dancer. She can probably tell you who will be on the podium in any given competition.

At St. Ursula Academy, she was involved with the Social Justice & Equal Rights club, Yearbook club, National Honor Society, and World Language Honor Society. She also leads the Sweets for Smiles club and volunteers at Ronald McDonald house as part of an SUA service group. Good luck to Eleanor at the University of South Carolina where she will be majoring in International Business. ☘️❤️🎓

🎓Congratulations to Erickson Academy senior .bolan who graduated from 🎓

Emily started dancing at 7 years old. From that point forward, her feet never stopped moving. She would dance upstairs, downstairs, while standing in lines, and even while hiking in the woods — all signs of a true Irish dancer!

Emily’s love for Irish dance extends beyond dance itself, and to the sense of family she has gained at Erickson Academy. Individually and collectively, the dance girls became a central part of her school years, supporting her with unique bonds that come from hours at the studio, competing with each other, and just spending quality time hanging with each other. She also discovered a love for inspiring younger dancers by volunteering for summer camps and assisting with the Beginner classes.

As an Open Championship dancer, Emily danced both solos and ceili at the Oireachtas, at the North American Irish Dance Championships (NAIDC), and ceili at the World Irish Dance Championships. Competition aside, jigging on St. Patrick’s day may have been one of Emily’s favorite parts of Irish dance.

Academics have always been a central love of Emily’s. Besides Irish dance, she also ran track, took an active role on Summit’s Leadership team, led Kairos retreats, and was an officer for National Honor Society. The ability to dance in front of hundreds of people has served her well in leading all school assemblies.

We wish Emily nothing but the best as she heads to to study Political Science/Pre Law. Go Eagles! ☘️❤️🎓
