Congratulations to Richard Luschek, recipient of Second Place in ViewPoint 58 for “One Last Drink”, a 20 × 16 oil painting on linen. We like the humor behind this great composition and technique.
This artwork is one of 79 pieces currently on display at ARTclectic Gallery in the ViewPoint show, the 58th annual installment of the esteemed national juried art exhibition organized by the Cincinnati Art Club. Established in 1968, ViewPoint is one of the region’s longest running and most respected art competitions, drawing submissions from across the country. Each year, a panel of distinguished jurors selects outstanding works in representational and contemporary works.
Our sincere thanks go to the Jurors of Selection for their dedication and thoughtful evaluation of over 300 entries, and to the Show Judge, Joseph Orr, for selecting this year’s award recipients.
Congratulations again to Richard Luschek and to all the artists in the ViewPoint 58 Exhibition!

Congratulations to Linda Jacobs, recipient of First Place in ViewPoint 58, for “Light in the Shadows,” a 40 × 30 in charcoal on board with mixed media. This thoughtful work draws the viewer into the forested space with effective use of perspective.
