Bringing the joy of movement to our senior neighbors! 💃

Ahead of this weekend's South Chicago Dance Theatre Cincinnati debut, Artistic Director Kia S. Smith visited CareCore at Margaret Hall today to lead a special movement class for its residents. Gentle, accessible, and full of heart, this class was a chance for residents to experience the same artistry and connection audiences will see at the Aronoff!

Dance has a way of connecting generations, and we're honored to bring this experience directly to the residents of Margaret Hall to kickstart our 55th anniversary season: Heritage, Unfolding: A Season of Histories.

On October 3rd, South Chicago Dance Theatre's Artistic Director Kia S. Smith — the rising voice behind Chicago's "next big thing" (Chicago Tribune) — is hosting an exclusive masterclass right here in Cincinnati.

This is the kind of experience you won't forget — not because of the steps you learn, but because of who's teaching them. Dance Magazine didn't name her one of their ones to watch for nothing.

Every child deserves access to the arts.

We’re bringing the world-renowned South Chicago Dance Theatre to Cincinnati to perform for local Cincinnati Public Schools students. The challenge? Many of our schools don’t have the funds to cover transportation costs to get students to the Aronoff Center.

We’re raising funds to help provide buses so these students can experience the power of LIVE professional dance.

⭐️New Full-Time Staff Member: Sophie Kussman!⭐️

💚 Sophie joins Mutual Arts as our new full-time Education and Outreach Coordinator, working with Ms. Claire to provide the best dance opportunities possible. You may recognize her as a teacher from the 25-26 school year 🥰 Sophie is a graduate of The Ohio State University and recently graduated from the Curriculum in Motion Institute through Jacobs Pillow.

💚 A note from Sophie: "One of my values as an educator is to provide accessible arts education opportunities, ensuring that every student can explore their creativity regardless of background or resources. This role at Mutual combines that value with my passion for dance! I love this community and can't wait to jump right in!"

Reminder!! Our 26-27 Mutual Arts Academy auditions are TOMORROW, August 1st! We invite prospective students 5th grade & under from 1-2:15pm and 6th grade & up from 2:30-3:45pm.

Participating in the audition does not bind you to being a student for the 26-27 school year, please feel free to come take class and make a final decision later!
