It was great to see so many of you today at the
Churubusco Public Library Fine Arts Festival! Several of our high school theater students were featured on the Main Stage as they read their favorite children’s books. 📚 🎭

Some favorite books included: “Green Eggs & Ham”, “Fancy Nancy”, “Dragons Love Tacos”, “Madeline”, “Llama, Llama, Red Pajamas”, “Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel”, “Shoe-la-la”, “Lamb Slide”, “Goodnight, Moon” and many more!

We’re excited for the future of the library as they prepare to move into their new space! 📚

Thespian Troupe #971 is excited to return to the Churubusco Art Festival this year as storytellers on Saturday!

Come hear our talented high school theater students read their favorite children’s books from 10:30am-2:00pm. Bring the kids - we’d love to have a small audience! 📚🎭

Happy Opening Night to the Whitley Arts Partnership production of “Little Shop of Horrors”! Curtain is at 7:30pm - tonight and tomorrow (July 31 & August 1) at Columbia City High School. Tickets are $15 at the door.

We have quite a few CHS theater alumni involved in this show - on stage, crew, and in the orchestra pit.

It’s exciting to see the passion for live theater continue to grow. Break a leg! 🎭🎶🌱

What a full and heartwarming weekend for the CHS Theater Department! 🎭

We wrapped up an incredible week of Theater Camp with a fantastic performance of “Finding Nemo KIDS”. We couldn’t be prouder of our campers and the amazing high school student leaders who made the week so special.🐠

Many of our theater students also spent the weekend cheering on their fellow thespians in “Mean Girls” with Fort Wayne Summer Music Theatre. Congratulations to Delaney, Truman, and Harper on a great production! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

And we’re proud of Brynn, who joined several CHS Theater alumni in a benefit concert supporting a fellow theater alum in their fight against cancer—a reminder that the bonds formed through theater extend far beyond the stage.

It’s inspiring to see our students and alumni thriving, supporting one another, and using their talents to make a difference. 🎭🎶🎭

What an incredible week! 🌊 Tonight, our “Finding Nemo KIDS” campers wrapped up an amazing theater camp with a fantastic final performance. We are so proud of every camper—especially those who made their theater debut on stage tonight! 🌟 🎭

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support these young performers. Your applause, encouragement, and enthusiasm made the evening even more special. Until next time… just keep swimming! 🐠✨🎶

Come see what our 5-8th graders learned during their week of Theater Camp this week - led by our high school students. It has been a fin-tastic week! 🐟

One last weekend to see three of our Busco theater students in “Mean Girls” at Homestead High School. We’re thrilled that Delaney Ott, Truman Sade, Harper Sparkman have the opportunity to perform with 50 other students from over 20 local area high schools!

And - this Saturday at 2:00pm, you can see Delaney portray the role of Karen in the Understudy Show! Support live theater this weekend! 🎭🎶

After an incredible week of singing, dancing, acting, creating, and making memories, our “Finding Nemo KIDS” campers are ready to take the stage! These young performers have worked so hard all week, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything they have accomplished in a short time.

This week has been made even more special by our outstanding CHS theater students, who have served as directors, teachers, choreographers, mentors, and role models. Their leadership, patience, and passion have made a lasting impact on our campers, and we can’t wait for you to see the results of their hard work!

See you at the show! We promise you’ll leave with a smile or humming a tune — or both! 😊🎭🎶🐟
