🖌️ Behind the Scenes in the Studio

Late night in the studio and Ozzy showed up on my easel. 😄
I started this 30x40” acrylic portrait yesterday, surrounded by the usual chaos—paint tubes everywhere, sketches under my feet, the kiln humming in the corner, and half-finished projects watching from the shelves.

There’s something about working at night, when the studio gets quiet and the only light is bouncing off the canvas. The hands are still rough, the colors loud, but the energy is exactly what I wanted… that unmistakable Ozzy vibe.

With Bowie complete, I began an 8x10 test painting of W***y Wonka this morning, aiming for a weekend finish. I'm now contemplating a majestic Gene Wilder piece, celebrating his legacy by incorporating iconic characters from hits like Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, and W***y Wonka.
