OnStage Playhouse is a west Chula Vista institution that has struggled financially for decades. During CoVid, its rent was tripled. It is practically the only theater group that exists in West Chula Vista. It has received almost no support from the City. We cannot lose this theater!

This is interesting! Hope this comes to Chula Vista! We so need performing Arts venues. A cinema theater cannot accommodate a larger stage or audience, but this is a start. This is also a reason to not knock down the rest of Chula Vista Center to connect 5th Ave. CV Pols please take note! We also need the Lauderbach park building recently vacated by SBSC to be dedicated to the Arts for all ages! as well as theater that will accomodate 400 seats, dance and drama.

Chula Vista City buys the Vogue Theater for use as a performance space.
