Sprite Cake❤️❤️
Ingredients:
Cake:
1 1/2 cups butter
3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon lemon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 eggs
3 cups flour
1 cup Sprite (or 1 cup 7-Up)
Glaze:
3 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 Tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup cold sprite (or 7-up)
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Generously flour and grease a 9×13 cake pan.
-In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the lemon and vanilla extracts and mix well. Add the eggs, one at a time and mix well. Alternate between adding flour and sprite (or 7 Up) until they are completely mixed in.
-Pour the batter into the prepared 9×13 cake pan. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
-While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze. Using an electrix mixer, combine the powdered sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, and sprite. Beat until smooth.
-When you remove the cake from the oven, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Turn cake over onto a plate. Drizzle with glaze. Enjoy!
