Welcome to our new interns! We’re excited to kick off a new semester with an amazing group joining us. They recently completed their gator class and had such a great time learning and getting hands-on experience!
A huge thank you to .papili and Gabby for helping lead the gator class and making it such a fun experience. We always love seeing former interns come back to help mentor and encourage the new group.
We can’t wait to see all that this semester has in store! 🐊✨

Watch and listen closely as this female gator moves in response to the incoming male gator 🐊👂
Alligators communicate using low-frequency sounds, body movements, and vibrations in the water—it’s their way of saying “I see you” or “I’m here.”
Gators are often seen right next to each other, especially during breeding season or in areas with good basking spots and food. While they can be territorial, they’re also surprisingly good at coexisting peacefully as long as there’s enough space and resources. You’ll often find multiple gators sharing the same area or resting side by side in warm weather. ☀️🌿
