Red Griffin Productions is looking for 6-8 performers to portray The Yeoman of the Castle. These performers would be required to learn multiple scripts, understand the use of period appropriate Arms & Armor, and become proficient in a system of Combat Choreography for Demonstrations and Performances.
These performances would be primarily associated with the 6 weekends of the Renaissance Festival but might include promotional moments for Fireworks, Christmas Kingdom and Boars Head Feast.
All candidates must commit to the Oklahoma Renaissance Academy for one full year and complete all content required. They will be required to rehearse in person in Muskogee or Oklahoma City or remotely via computer interface.
All candidates will be fully costumed and armed.
All candidates will be contracted employees and paid for each engagement.

Red Griffin Productions is looking for a few great pieces!
As many of you know Red Griffin Productions has been the group behind the Human Chess Match for 24 years. We pride ourselves on producing a new show every year that combines action, humor and an actual chess match into a centerpiece show at the Castle.
Obviously, we have quite a bit of time before next year [246 days] but a venture that incorporates 32 people for a 45-minute presentation require time and energy.
To be part of this venture you must have time within our general cast [at least 1 year of complete academy] at OKRF. Going through academy is now a must. You must be in good health and be willing to make rehearsals in Oklahoma City & Muskogee. Our cast members must be dynamic members of the street cast with extraordinary characters. RGP also manages the logistics for many of the special events [Queen’s Tea, King’s Lunch, Royal Smoker, Masque Ball, Pirate’s Feast and Ceilidh]. This leads to extremely long days at festival and creates extra demands on your time.

The newly arrived Robert Devereux, Earl of Essex has met with rather jealous reception from his fellow gentlemen of court. Her majesty, Queen Elizabeth, shows favor to the young Earl as he is the godson of her favorite.

OKRF Open Orientation 2020 Season
OKRF and OKRAA open its preparation activity for the 25th Annual Renaissance Festival Saturday November 23rd with its Open Orientation. This is a time to learn about being apart of our cast and learning the ways and culture of interactive theater.
Open Orientation
Open orientation is an opportunity to understand the commitment and expectations of being part of the festival. The Entertainment Director will discuss options for involvement and schedules. This will take place from 10:00am to 12:00pm and does not require any commitment at that time.
Leadership
The leadership team has several openings and will interview after 1:00pm for eligible candidates. All candidates must have 3+ years working as active members of core cast. They must understand our cultural focus on leader-servant methodology and have completed our leadership training regiment. If you are interested please email [email protected] for an appointment.
Stage Combat and Human Chess Match
Sunday November 24th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Red Griffin Productions will hold a Combat Choreography workshop. This activity is an open orientation to Red Griffin Productions, the group that facilitates the Chess Match, King’s Lunch, Queen’s Tea, Royal Smoker and the night time events.
