My name is Raimi Ellen Hooper - I’m from the Iron Range and have been a licensed tattoo artist for just over 5 years now!

I just moved my operation to Duluth at the wonderful Black Label Collective in the Denfeld neighborhood.

I feel incredibly grateful to be working with this amazingly kind and wildly talented crew.

I love creating Neotraditional/Neo-realism floral & animal portrait pieces to adorn the body & would love to take on more projects that focus on that style.

Outside of tattooing I love taking photos and did some photography work for many years before becoming a tattoo artist.

For the flash pieces you see below (scattered between the photos of my face), I used reference photos I took here in Northern MN of spring floral blooms - you won’t find any AI in my creative process here.

I have an arsenal of personally sourced (cause I took em) and entirely unique (cause no one else has em) photos that I’ve collected over the years that I’m excited to use to create unique and fully human made art & tattoos in this wild world of AI that we are all trying to navigate.

I’d love to tattoo some of these beauties and I’ll be taking walk-ins today (5/1) after 5pm. I also have some availability left in May (dates below) and I’m now booking summer months as well. 🥰

⚫️Full Day - 8 hours (including stencil placement and design changes) - $800 flat rate, can’t transfer time to another day - $100 deposit must start at 10am

I’m back again to let you know I’m all moved into my Duluth studio at Black Label Collective and am officially booking for the ✨summer months✨ now!

I have some big news!

Beginning April 17th I will be working full time out of Black Label Collective in the Denfeld neighborhood of Duluth!

I have already contacted the few clients I still have some hours with/unfinished projects with and have them scheduled to get work done up here before I go - if for some reason I missed you, please reach out!

I still have some available appointments here in Chisholm before I go, so if you want to come get poked at Tattoo Oasis one last time by me (at least for a good while) - now is the time to book!

My new studio space - Black Label Collective - is a wonderful shop which offers a great amount of privacy as each artist residing there has a their own private room. So in a lot of ways there will be the same amount of privacy and comfort at my new studio as there was up here in Chisholm.

There are a lot of reasons why this is happening and I’m beyond thankful to say none of them are negative and that this decision is all based in the wish to grow as an artist and spread my lil tattoo artist wings. 🪽

I’m leaving on good terms - which means as long as Tattoo Oasis is around I’ll be able to come and guest spot from time to time.

I can’t thank Kalia and Brian enough for all they’ve given me. To have gotten to know them so well and experience their talent, kindness, humor, and friendship while I’ve been at Tattoo Oasis is an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world.

While I’m sad to be saying goodbye, I’m beyond excited to be starting a new journey in the big city! 🤩

Getting to know the Black Label crew during my guest spots was always a good time and now I get to do it every day.

I have received the warmest welcome from the team down there and I can’t wait to be all moved in and to start creating new pieces of body art in this cool new space!

How lucky am I to experience such sadness about goodbyes and such excitement about new beginnings at the same time?

I’m feeling super emotional about this bitter-sweet move - “the end of my beginning” - so expect to catch me crying about it into the plants at Tattoo Oasis until I’m settled in at Black Label. 🥹

Some amazing people gathered on Saturday to celebrate one of the coolest people I know for her 30th birthday.

Part of the celebration included a party of people getting a tattoo - so 7 people in 12 hours (including the birthday girl) shuffled in & out of the wonderful Black Label Collective where I was able to help make this bad-ass woman’s birthday wish come true.

Everyone sat like rocks.💪

It was truly a magical day - and it was an honor to be a part of it. 🖤

Sundry had me create a flash sheet based on blink-182 & Paramore (do you see the references???) - but people were also allowed to come up with a custom request if it was simple enough (hence the Shrimp Wizard we affectionately began referring to as “Shrizard”).
