Welcome to Lasa Anahata Tribal, an American Tribal Style® belly dance troupe, directed by Dana Dachel. From Performances to class instruction, we offer a professional experience of ATS® belly dancing as originated by Carolena Nericcio of Fat Chance Belly Dance ®. Cindy Hopkins, Assistant Director and a Fat Chance Belly Dance® Sister Studio, is the primary instructor with 5 years dancing experience
and 2 years teaching experience. Dana Dachel and Krista Spaeth, assistant instructors, each with 2 ½ years of ATS dance instruction, are mentoring for teacher certification in October 2014. Whether your interest is performance of ATS®, love of music and costuming, time to unwind, or cross training, the classes can offer you a wide range of experiences and are conducted to respectfully support and encourage personal growth at your own pace. We would love to meet you and learn what your interests are to welcome you to Lasa Anahata Tribal! If you are interested in performances for professional family-friendly events, fellow dancer collaboration for unique performances, or casual settings, we love to dance and will work with you to suite your request (exception, no men’s specific events). Anahata means Chakra of the heart, unbeaten, unhurt, unstruck, love! Tribal represents a group of individuals who practice a common language, share a culture, develop a kinship, in our case, dance! Members of this dance company have come from prior troupes, Sofia Tribal and Dragonfly Dance Company.
