We had a great weekend at the Eau Claire Jazz Festival! 30 of us went to UWEC on Friday and took in great performances, including the Chippewa Falls Middle School jazz band, while also attending master classes and learning from pro players.

Saturday, all three Chi-Hi jazz bands performed and Chi-Hi Jazz 1 took home the 3rd place spot as part of the competitive festival! This is a fantastic accomplishment and we are so proud of the work all of these students have put into the bands this year!

"KIDS TODAY"

The next time you hear someone grumbling about kids today and the this and the that...
.. show them this picture of kids getting together at 7am to rehearse for an upcoming performance.

7am is both early and before school, for anyone keeping score. They gave each other rides, rearranged schedules, and set aside the time to make it happen.

This is what being involved in something bigger than yourself teaches. Sports, music, robotics, art, DECA, theater, DECA... all great things going on in our schools that are improving kids, day in and day out.

Just so you know. Kids today are pretty great.

The Chippewa Falls Music Association is happy to offer t-shirts and sweatshirts for you to show your support of each Chippewa Falls High School Music Department. Our spirit sale website, https://cfmusic.spiritsale.com/, is now open and will close at midnight January 18, 2026. All proceeds go to support the Chi-Hi Music Departments and students.

Lots of designs to choose from. Orders can be directly shipped to you or be picked up at the high school at the end of the sale.
