345th Bomb Group "Air Apaches" insignia on the B-25 "Sweet Dreams" 🇺🇸

"Sweet Dreams" is a fully restored 1944 North American TB-25J Mitchell medium bomber (serial number 44-86797) owned by Lost Coast Warbirds.

Aircraft History and Legacy

Built and Accepted: Manufactured in 1944, the aircraft was accepted by the U.S. Army Air Forces on July 6, 1945, initially serving at Yuma Army Air Field in Arizona for Bombing-Through-Overcast training.

Post-War and Storage: Transferred later to Mather Field, California, before being placed into long-term storage in 1957 and subsequently passing through private owners in Dallas, Texas.

Restoration and Return: After a multi-decade slumber and extensive restoration, Sweet Dreams returned to the airshow circuit wearing the striking livery of the 345th Bomb Group ("Air Apaches") to honor WWII combat airmen.

I am absolutely blown away to hit this incredible 40K milestone here on the page! When I first started sharing my passion for capturing the raw power, history, and beauty of aviation, I never imagined our hangar would grow this big.

This milestone isn’t just mine… it’s OURS.

To every single one of you who has liked, commented, shared, and supported my aviation photography and videography: THANK YOU!

Your shared love for history and these magnificent flying machines keeps my creative engine running. Whether you are a fellow aviation geek, a history buff, or just love the sight of a Merlin or Radial engine roaring to life, I am incredibly grateful to have you along for the ride.

The sky is the limit, and I can't wait to share more heavy metal, dramatic angles, and smoke-filled flybys with you all.

Clear prop, and Let’s keep climbing!

And I'm preparing a few surprises for you soon... 😉

👉 Tell me in the comments: what's your favorite aircraft?

THAT SOUND! 🔊 Crank up your volume because nothing shakes the ground quite like the iconic Republic P-47G Thunderbolt warming up on the hot ramp at the Planes of Fame Air Museum! 🔥

This absolute monster—affectionately known as the "Jug"—is powered by a massive 2,535-horsepower Pratt & Whitney radial engine.

What makes this specific warbird so incredibly rare? It is one of only two flying P-47G Razorbacks left in the world!

After an extensive, multi-year maintenance spell by dedicated crews, hearing this heavy metal muscle back in action is a pure rush of aviation history.

Rate this engine sound from 1-10! 👇

A masterpiece of engineering, frozen in time. ✈️📸

The legendary B-17G Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey" looks absolutely striking on static display! Standing right beneath this polished aluminum giant gives you a true sense of the sheer scale and power of World War II aviation.

Built in 1944, this iconic warbird is maintained by the CAF Airbase Arizona. While her four Wright R-1820 Cyclone engines aren't roaring in this exact moment, you can still feel the history radiating from her frame—from the signature nose art to the twin waist-gunner windows.

Getting up close to a static aircraft means getting to appreciate the finer details: the heavy-duty rivets, the plexiglass nose capsule, and the history etched into every square inch of her metal skin. It is a humbling reminder of the young crews who once risked everything in the skies.

Drop a ❤️ if you love hunting for the perfect vintage aircraft angle!
