A huge happy birthday to Miss C, who will officially be 13 tomorrow! I met her 2 years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed watching her grow up!
Today we worked on arm #1. This doll is going to be so cute once finished! 😊

Got to see my two 💜💜 sister students again today! Miss M made another jellyfish! And she has totally mastered (& memorized) the pattern to grow a circle!
Today she opted to stuff her jellyfish and add eyes.👀
We used 12mm safety eyes, which secure onto both sides of the yarn.
I now have to go buy this yarn bc its adorable!*

Today I met 2 new students, mom & daughter, and they did great! Such neat students to chat with too!
They learned to single crochet, change yarn color, and weave in tails. 🙌

This was a fun private lesson this afternoon! My student crochets very well but wanted to review counting (to keep edges straight) and also sharpen skills to sew granny squares together.
She has made numerous beautiful blankets (which I fell in love with!) but wanted to review making sure she connected them securely.
There are many ways to join granny squares but we opted for hand sewing through the back loops only, which will leave a clean, distinct border between every square.
I'll be sure to share her final photos when done! Excellent job Miss Pam! 🎉

I just love this family! Today I taught two sisters who I just adore! Miss C continued to work on her doll today! We rewrote the pattern for the head to make it wider than her last doll. She is going to have the cutest girl doll when she's complete!
Next week she will crochet the arms and skirt. And possible add hair during the week. MIss C has an amazing personality (her sister does too) and makes our lesson so much more enjoyable...

I just love this family! Today I taught two sisters who I just adore! Miss M showed up to learn double crochet. But she nailed it after the 1st row, so after 4 rows we switched to writing our own pattern for a jellyfish!
Check hers out!!! I am blown away! She learned to work in a circle, memorize a basic pattern to grow her circle, and how to stop increases so it can dome downward.
She then made chains and single crocheted increases back down every stitch to create te****le. 🎐
I am totally going to miss teaching😭💜

Isn't this gorgeous?!
This afternoon, I met a new student who already crocheted. But needed to review the basics (counting, keeping edges straight...)
We jumped into this DC Shell pattern and I am in love with her stitches! They are so perfect and I love the texture her tension provides!
This sample was made during our lesson, but she will be moving onto larger blankets. Stay tuned for more of her adorable work! 🤍

This afternoon, I met a kind and gifted young lady! This is her beautiful sample she made during our lesson! 😊
She learned to single crochet, change yarn color, count, weave in tails, crochet a rosette and more! She caught on quickly and will be back for one final lesson! Can't wait!

Her 2nd class today was packed with skills.
She learned:
• double crochet
• slip stitch
• magic ring
(she got it 1st try!)
• reading a pattern
• working into chain space

After 5 1/2 years of teaching crochet lessons, I am sad to say goodbye to this season of my life. I was offered a full time position at my current job and have accepted it! I will be using the weekends for family time and will continue accepting custom orders. I will miss this part of my life so much, because of all the wonderful people I have met and made friends with. ❤ I am grateful for each and every one of you who have trusted me to teach you! Please send me photos of your work and keep in touch! Maybe one weekend we can have a meet up just for fun! Be sure to follow me on IG and FB.

Today I met the cutest 9 y.o. twins! They were completely fun and so excited to learn!
They had basic knowledge of making a chain and we built off of that and they learned to single crochet. 🌿
They changed colors. counted, met a sweet lady who brought us a crochet kit to look at, taught me a new word "confuzzled" (confused + puzzled) because hey - we ARE here to learn! 🥰 And in the end, they each did wonderful! 🙌

Beautiful single crochet stitches by sweet Makaela! She learned to make a chain prior to our lesson but now has mastered the single crochet stitch! She learned to count, change colors and also make a rosette.
No matter how long my week is or how tired I am, it's always refreshing when a student "gets it"! Great job! 🙌

I got to start my morning with the two sweetest sisters. 💜💜
I met this family (that feels like family to me) Jan 2022. Every class is filled with fun conversations and an eagerness to learn!
I recently began to teach the younger sister and today she learned half double crochet, rosettes and a chain flower. She is so focused and has beautiful stitches! 🌸🤍

Ok, this kid was fun to teach! He asked me to post his photo (mom said yes).😁
He did so amazing! Zero experience and he learned to single crochet, count, change colors, tie off and weave in ends. 💪
Fun fact: I taught his mom five years ago and got to pass it onto her son today!💫 We are rooting for you Mr. R!

This part of the process might appear mundane, but it really isn't! It is all trial and error - making it and collecting notes on paper (or napkins)😂 then converting it into a typed pdf printable. The recent tragic events involving our servicemen and women in Afghanistan have touched me deeply and left me with a desire to do something meaningful for those who serve so selflessly. Jenee has graciously invited me to post on her page about a campaign taking place with Operation Gratitude. Hand crocheted and knitted hats and scarves are being collected between Sept 2-30, 2021. My goal is to make 13 items, in memory of the 13 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Kabul Airport bombing. I need some advice. I want to make a throw for my friend. He is almost 62, about 6’2”, very thin and does dialysis daily. He lives in Boise. I want something warm yet not soft. These are the color choices. I am an intermediate beginner. I like something that I can do while watching tv (not a lot of counting)

Hi Jenee.... Even though I’ve moved and I’m a bit too far to go to a class, I still follow your page. I love all the projects you’re creating! I’ve been keeping busy crocheting. I’ve used the 1.5 hour beanie pattern to make about 70 beanies, I’ve made a beanie & scarf for myself, and I’ve used the scraps from all the beanies to make a little blanket. I was calling it my “Scrap Lap Wrap” , but it turned out more baby-size so it is now a “Scrap Nap Wrap”. I miss you & your classes. I really enjoyed them!
