Alice G’s Artworks + Delectables, located on Historic Main Street showcases owner Tammy Pomerleau’s breathtaking photography of landscapes, daily life, wildlife, and maritime culture skillfully capturing the essence of Chincoteague Island, Assateague Isl

and, and Virginia's Eastern Shore. Additionally, her collection includes illustrations and pieces crafted from vintage jewelry, broken glass, and various shells. She also supports and promotes local and regional artisans by featuring their works that help tell the stories that shape and connect our community. Named in honor of her "Mom Mom " a local of the Island, Alice G’s highlights and celebrates the beauty of our way of life, both past and present, through various artwork and occasionally culinary delights. From time to time, Alice G’s will invite visitors to sit down to learn from its artisans as well as enjoy heartwarming tales, live acoustic music or just the gentle sound of a vintage vinyl record player playing timeless classics. Tammy is a native of Chincoteague Island, Virginia. She is delighted to return "home" to focus on her passions for photography, artwork, and other leisure pursuits.

Alice G's Artworks + Delectables was honored and pleased to be an awards presenter at Chincoteague High School's 2026 Senior Night on May 20. Alice G's, "I Have a Plan" Scholarship awarded two $500.00 scholarships: one to Landon Tyler and one to Garrett Daisey. The "I Have a Plan" Scholarship believes it's important to have a plan, an initial plan, before graduation and asks each applicant to submit an essay that includes their initial educational or career pathway (whether college, trade school, military, or directly into the workforce) plan; what you are most excited about during this next phase of your life, and your favorite song and why. The Scholarship is in memory of my Mom Mom, Alice G. Milbroune. All this year's submitted essays were fantabulous. I thought to myself that if I could ask my husband, Brian, who passed in December, "What should I do", what would he say? He would have said, "Tammy, you know what to do. You're a Pony and they are Ponies, too" 🙂 So, this year, Alice G's presented each remaining applicant with a $250.00 honorable mention award: Frederick Gers, George Katsetos, Jaliah Boykin, Carmela Rosanova, Austin Adams, and Morgan Keeney. What a wonderful group of young adults. I couldn't be prouder of them and the entire Chincoteague High School Class of 2026. Go Ponies 🙂🌻🐎
