Just received a beautiful cheviot/mohair yarn shipment from Bethel Creek Wool Works. The plan is to dye it all sorts of lovely colors but I couldn't resist knitting up a quick pair of socks. Look at that stitch definition!!!

Will it full?

I've been reading a lot about fulling, the process where wool fabric is agitated in such a way that it bonds together producing a durable fabric.
So... with my remaining wool (Navajo churro) warp, I started using spare roving for the weft with the idea of trying to full it later.

But now I'm not so sure....

Don't forget to get your wool out to enjoy the snow! It's the best way to get them clean.

Klamath Falls folks. I know this is a long shot but, has anyone found a skein of handspun 2 ply, brown and red yarn in either Sherm's or Coastal's parking lot?
I lost it yesterday, Saturday the 24th. It is a yak, merino blend and is pretty special.

Almost December but I finally completed a 2025 new year's resolution...a woven tapestry bag!!!

The sewing part (including the lining) has always been sooo intimidating but thanks to 's Portsmouth tote kit and online sewing class I not only made that gorgeous waxed canvas bag, but then applied the lesson to the tapestry bag.

They're all the rage in crafting circles these days but, so you wear them?
This color block hood scarf, wonderfully modelled by Ashley, and available Unwind: A Craft Lounge was knit from a California mohair-blend yarn was best described by a friend as a soft, cuddly cocoon.
