Nostalgic Phoenix Modding Group is dead.

Long live Nostalgic Phoenix!!!!

We will be starting Nostalgic Phoenix Modding COMMUNITY this summer.

This group will be a place for modders new and old to congregate, share work, offer tips, encourage modders of all skills, and to link new and upcoming mods for all systems. Our goal is to bring engaging content, tutorials, and to overall bring a non-toxic environment where all modders can feel welcomed and encouraged to grow their skills.

Happy Star Wars Day!!

Just a reminder that we will be set up next Saturday, May 13, at Corgs in Columbus, OH at the Lausche Building. Early bird starts at 9:00AM and GA at 10:00AM. This is the major kickoff to the OH convention season and Gary always has a nice variety of vendors catering to your retro gaming needs. If you like to collect retro games then this is your con!

We have donated a killer NES bundle to CORGS this year. The bundle includes a NESessity 1.5 NES, customer controller, games, controller stands, and all the cords you need to get started. This setup is the ULTIMATE NES with features such as built in microphone, Famicom accessory support via the expansion bay, true stereo sound that can be adjusted to your taste, and Famicom expansion audio enabled. If you have an Everdrive then this will be the NES to really flex everything it can do and more.

Brian, Casey, and Brent will have 5 tables full of controllers, modded systems, display stands, and demos of our work for you to buy and try out. All of us are really excited to debut as our group and we all look forward to seeing you there!

Our next confirmed con is TORG Gaming Expo in November which is also in Columbus and promises to be the biggest show in OH and on course to match Midwest Gaming Classic in terms of attendance and experience. It really is a can't miss convention.

We love ALL of our con buddies and organizers and will have some announcements for the summer as well :)

Can I make my modded DMG look like an OG Gameboy?
Short answer - you can come pretty close. With 32 pallets to choose from and a retro pixel effect filter, the new IPS screens I use can come very close to that green monochrome you know and love without the eye strain.
