Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference.

When 38 planes were forced to land unexpectedly in the tiny town of Gander, Newfoundland, nearly 7,000 strangers suddenly needed a place to sleep, something to eat, and someone to help them.

And the people of Gander simply opened their doors.

They shared their homes. They cooked meals. They offered clothing, phones, showers, beds, and most importantly, compassion. They welcomed complete strangers as neighbors and showed the world what humanity looks like when we choose kindness.

COME FROM AWAY is the incredible true story of what happened when a small community opened its heart to thousands of people from around the world.

Today, we say goodbye to a true American Legend.
Dolly Parton was so much more than a legendary singer and songwriter. She was an actress, storyteller, philanthropist, businesswoman, and most importantly, a person who understood the power of bringing people joy.

For those of us who live and breathe theater, Dolly holds an especially meaningful place in our hearts. She understood that a “good story, a great song, and a little bit of laughter can bring people together.” Her work in movies, television, music, and the stage inspired performers and audiences everywhere.

Our company proudly honors Dolly Parton not just for everything she accomplished, but for how she accomplished it. With authenticity, determination, kindness and an unwavering belief in the power of a dream.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the stories, the laughter, the generosity, and for showing us that there is always room for a little more kindness in the world.
