I started this craft about 3 years ago and I've grown so much with it. This all started when I needed a way to find a new craft to relax with when I suddenly developed epilepsy. And after my skill got a bit, I decided to use to it bring in a little bit of income. As difficult as it was to begin, I never gave up and I'll forever be proud of myself for the determination. While I have been on medicat

ion, I did not find relief from the seizures, so I began heavy testing with an epileptologist in Sacramento. Over a year and a half these tests led to me receive a left temporal lobe laser ablation surgery in November of 2022. I've been seizure free ever since and I'll never regret this decision. Anyhow! Thats how this began, the need for a calming hobby really helped me in so many ways and I could never be more thankful for the support I have received! I’m going to be at Lassen Traditional Cidery this Sunday from 11-4! I’ve got a good bit of new goodies to look at and some classic pieces will also be discounted! This event is a perfect place to go Christmas shopping for your friends, family (and yourself 😉) because holy wow, there are so many amazing locals to come out and support. I can’t wait to see ya there!

This is one that I messed up at first and I almost cut it up for scrap cord. About two weeks later an idea popped into my head and bam! This irresistible piece came out.

Why do you only use metal rings for plant hangers?” Good question! When I first started my projects I saw that it was just the thing that everyone used, so that’s what I went with. But as time moved on I noticed the wooden ring on my moms hanger was getting deformed from the weight of her plant! I immediately made the switch with new projects since that ring was clearly going to snap.

And what blew my most the most is that when I invested in that huge box of vintage magazines from the 70s most all of them mentioned to NOT use wooden rings for plant hangers for that very reason! I don’t know when the switch to wooden hangers happened over the years but I’m so happy that I made the switch back to metal. It would have happened whether I had noticed my own plant hanger or saw it in the vintage magazines.

I want the plant hangers to last as long as possible. And between the metal rings and amazing cord I weave with, they’ll be around for a long time! I know it’s not the same look but it’ll be worth it to have a piece with a metal ring ✨

Event update~ This past year of events has been an absolute blast! I’ve gained so much from coming out of my shell and taking in our local community, I really can’t express how beneficial this has been for me and my mental health. From the local artists who welcomed me with open arms to anyone who has supported my endeavors I truly thank you. I’m humbled by the love I’ve received time and time again.
As many of you know I have epilepsy and I haven’t reached stability *yet*. This prevents me from driving myself to events. Now, recently my darling Kate took on an amazing new job. Her schedule has dramatically changed and she’ll no longer be able to help me get to events. And despite being bummed about this shift in life I wouldn’t change it for anything. Her new job is incredibly beneficial to our lives and to her goals. And oh my goodness, I am SO proud of her!
I’ll be working on posting items for sale here and doing more consignment options but this shift is going to take some getting used to. And all I ask is that I receive your continued support by sharing my future posts.
And, well, that’s about all I needed to say. I just wanted to share an update as to why I haven’t been doing events and explain my new situation. Again, thank you so, so much everyone! I couldn’t have gotten this far without you! I’m going to keep fighting for stability and I hope you all realize how much you’ve kept me afloat. Your love and kindness means more to me than you could ever imagine 💕

When hanging plant hangers be sure to buy the appropriate sized hook that will hold the weight of the plant you want to hang! I usually buy hangers rated for 50lbs because I’m paranoid and want to be extra safe. Either way, be sure to weigh your plant and be cautious 💕
