✨️one week later✨️
I /think/ I'm fully recovered (although Im dealing with the beginnings of an ear infection yaaay) and I'm still on cloud 9 over this show.
The cast? Incredible. The vibes? Immaculate - minus a couple of musty dusty crusties. The fun? Turned to 11.
The biggest of shout outs to the cast and crew of the show, tagged below so you can follow them. We had a couple hiccups along the way and their professionalism and support meant the absolute world. Helping set up the venue after unforseen delay, someone involving themselves in a number, a performers song that was supposed to have vocals but didn't (which a huge fu**in shout out to for that - baby was nervous as hell performing her first big show which was also her first time performing two numbers and she stayed on stage and made it WORK). Everyone was so great and I couldn't have picked a better group of humans.
As always, also gets all the love. It is such an excellent place with incredible owners and staff, and they strive to promote a safe environment for Chico's q***r community to have fun. Discovery is absolutely my show "home" and I cant wait for the next time they let me loose with my shenanigans.
HOWEVER, there wouldnt be a killer place to perform at with incredibly talented humans if not for the audience members that show up, support, cheer on, and tip! A little over 60 of you came out and made the evening so incredibly magical, and a surprisingly high number were experiencing drag and burlesque for the first time. Times are fu**ed and so many things suck, and people supporting q***r art means more than ever right now.
Thank you all, and I'll see ya at the next one! Unless youre one of the mean musty crusty dusty people, you're not invited and I dont even know why you bothered showing up but thanks for your ticket money.
(Ps I dont tolerate that at my shows so please tell me okay bye)
