Coming into play post:
Autumn has come to the land of Adrel, and with the seasons changing come many changes for the City-State of Edgeland. Heralded as Heroes by the Church for their part in the removal of the Heretic sect of the Rebel Visage, the relations between the newly created Government and the world congregation have warmed significantly.
The Unfortunate status of the citizens of New Davenport has been investigated by the Edgeland Naval forces. The Former City is no more, made into a landscape of sand and dust only rarely interrupted by gems of various types. The Navy reports that many of the citizens that were on the outskirts of town, and those in the rural outlying areas, have survived what is being referred to as the Glassing of New Davenport. Many of these refugees are seeking assistance from anyone willing to help.
Reports state that a small group of trader vessels is heading toward Crabsfall Bay. The Ships are in all different shapes and sizes, some of them brand new, others are obviously bailing waters from a slow leak. While the ships themselves are difficult to attach to any specific region, the people aboard the ships are not. Flowing robes and clothes, an abundance of Jewelry, and the weather worn faces tell onlookers that these are from the Bezra. While no one has yet spoken with the ships, the rumors state they are flying to the aid of those affected by the Glassing.
The nights of Autumn have finally cooled from the Summer, and most have been comforted by the change and slept soundly, that is not the case for the local Weavers and Tea Mages. Since the sightings of the strange figure cackling through town pushing down buildings and making their ‘mark’ on every item in sight, their dreams have made sleep less restful. The night is interrupted by what they can only describe as a deep feeling of emptiness and hollowness inside of them. Some have taken to drink, food, or other libations to try and fill this void.
While those Civic minded citizens and members of the government have been restoring what is left of the sewer system, there is much work still left to do. The loss of the sewers has caused a great deal of distress among the citizens who were relying on it as part of their daily lives, not to mention the rats that have been displaced from the depths into the streets.
While the town is mostly restful, there have been Howls in the forests that have never been heard before, and some farmers have reported hills moving overnight. While no attacks have been reported, most attribute these occurrences to the Fae. Still, the hills have not moved before…
Rumors:
There is a caravan of Refugees heading for Edgeland from the New Davenport area.
The small fleet of ships on the Horizon Appear to be mostly containing Bezran people
Tea mages and Weavers have been deep in their drinks lately
The Farmers have been saying the hills have been moving
The rats have been coming up from the sewers.
