On April 9, 1970, Paul McCartney issued a press release along with advance copies of his debut solo album ‘McCartney’, announcing that he was no longer recording or performing with the Beatles. He cited personal, business, and musical differences as his reasons. The news broke publicly the following day on April 10, breaking the hearts of Beatles fans around the world. 📢

Even though their incredible run was coming to an end, it was just the beginning for some of the great solo music we still love today. 🖤🎶
