Known as Chicago’s “Bearded Ingenue” Jack W. Ellis (they/them/theirs) has performed all around the Chicagoland area with The Savoyaires, The Beautiful City Project, Le Piano Jazz Bar, Consonance, PlayOut Chicago, Chicago’s Holiday Pops Orchestra, Rising Stars Theatre Company, Chicago’s Symphony Center, Great Lakes Operetta, and Trans Voices Cabaret Chicago. It’s time to introduce our performers, give a round of applause for Deon Glass! 👏

Deon Glass is a singer, comedian, poet, actress, model, wig sculptor, milliner, former drag queen, sister, lover, dilettante, debutante, philistine, autodidact, butcher, baker, candlestick maker, voracious reader, devoted wife, mother to many, and a positive force for change when the world needs it most. She doesn’t feel the need to bore you with her past credits. She can be found performing wherever she is invited and paid or, if not there, in a park somewhere drinking. She is a Ta**us with a Scorpio moon, and was born fully formed from her father’s skull when it was cleaved open by an axe.

In addition to being an ensemble member with Idle Muse Theatre Company, she has had the pleasure of working with Fat Theatre Project (Kassandra at the Top of the World), Shakespeare’s Motley Crew (Midsummer Mayhem), and many more talented artists around Chicago! Wes Byers is a Chicago-based actor and musician. He is thrilled to be back with Essential Invisible for another q***r cabaret! Recent work includes: Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet (Fools of Sound and Fury), Music Director and Keys/Conductor for Jagged Little Pill (Point 2 Point Productions), Officer and composer of original music for Twelfth Night (NonSense Productions).

Though Autumn is the Production Manager for Essential Invisible, this is her first time stage managing a Q***r Cabaret! Past show credits include: Jagged Little Pill with Point2point Productions (Featured Ensemble and U/S Frankie), Arthur and Friends Make a Musical with Music On Stage (DW), and Little Shop of Horrors in Seoul, South Korea with Camarata Music (Audrey II/Twoey). Autumn is grateful to her friends and family for their love and support, and she wishes to thank everyone involved in Life is a Q***r Cabaret for working hard and being their amazingly authentic selves!
