Huge thank you to the Band students that took time out of their early morning on a Saturday to come and perform at graduation! It’s always a wonderful opportunity to perform for your senior peers and watch them cross that stage. Big Congratulations to all of the Band Graduates. Thank you for making this class a part of your high school life. I am so happy to have met you and spent so much time making wonderful music together. So many great memories that I will always cherish 🧡 Thank you for your time, commitment, and dedication. Congratulations Class of 2026!!!!! -Guzman

The John Philip Sousa award. This award has become a nationwide symbol of excellence in musical achievement. The John Philip Sousa Award annually honors our most deserving band member; it recognizes superior musicianship, leadership, dependability, loyalty and cooperation. Cesar Estrada has shown all of that and more since we first met. He was one of those individuals that was always ready for a challenge. Then and now. During his time here he has performed on guitarrón, percussion, all of the varied drum line instruments and on flute. He is always very willing to help and join any new ensemble. Most recently helping with the Jazz Band and keeping us in time. Thank you Cesar for being amazing and for everything you have done during your time as a Marching Bobcat. You will be missed dearly. 🧡

The Director’s Award for Band. This is awarded to a student who displays high qualities of dedication and conduct and is presented in recognition of the student’s outstanding contribution to the music ensemble. Blue Perez has been in Marching Band for 3 years. Performing in about 35 different events during his time here on not only oboe but also on the Alto Saxophone. He is also a part of the People’s Music School and has been since he was in elementary school. Thank you Blue for your commitment to our Marching Bobcat Ensemble. You will be missed dearly and we wish you nothing but the best on your next journey ahead 🧡
