Exciting news! Join us this Friday, August 1 from 4-6pm at Art on Sedgwick's Teen Showcase for the release of "All of Mankind: A Collaborative Curriculum Sampler".
Edited by Jorge Lucero, this book captures our year-long project co-created with a cohort of local artists and Chicago Public School teachers, alongside their students, focusing on William Walker's iconic 1972 murals in Cabrini Green, "All of Mankind".
Featuring an enlightening introductory essay by Olivia Gude and a preface by Art on Sedgwick, the book showcases unique curricular ideas and classroom experiments by the artists and educators involved in bringing this project to life in the mural's neighborhood. Contributors include:
- Jacob Boglio et al. (and Art on Sedgwick teens)
- Aespyne Brooks-Ortiz (and Noble Academy)
- DiDi Grimm (and Lincoln Park High School)
- Silvia Gonzalez and Coach Perry Browley (and Franklin Fine Arts Center)
- Persida Louison-Hachim (and Reuben Salazar Bilingual Education Center)
