Great Lakes Scenic began with two twin brothers, a decades-old table saw, and a love for carpentry. Graham and Alex first set hands on that saw at 11 years old, and they’ve held onto it ever since—a reminder of late nights, lessons learned, and the risks taken to build their brand. In the early years, they cut their teeth in the fast-paced world of haunted houses, transforming vacant strip mall spaces into sprawling 25,000-square-foot attractions in just four weeks with the Illinois Jaycees.
After college, they launched their business just as the world was shutting down for COVID. Despite the odds, projects started to roll in. Today, their business has grown into a national operation, with work installed at theme parks and attractions throughout the country.
At Great Lakes Scenic, the approach is simple: no frills, no ego. Customers are collaborators. The focus is on bringing immersive worlds to life with precision, passion, and an unwavering commitment to scenery excellence.
Now entering Season 15, the brothers are backed by a lean and loyal production team, and preparing for their biggest year yet.
