As of March 1, Iβm getting possession of 4000 ft.Β² two doors down from my gallery. 6 old law offices, about 750 ft.Β² of common area, a kitchenette and a 2000 square-foot high, dry basement
It is located near I 290 and Western near the UIC West campus, medical district and Tri-Taylor neighborhood. Its located in the exact center of the city and near multiple buses and the blue line as well. Street parking is wide open in the evenings and not too bad during the days either.
Iβm going to be renting out the old offices as art studios. For something pretty damn cheap like only five or $600 each. the package will include adjoining and opposite wall space for hanging artwork and information, access to the common area for shows and showings, a storage locker in the basement and a corresponding work area.
Also, access to a brand new kitchenette. So it will be very βevent readyβ, especially when it comes to food prep.
best deal on planet Earth
My goal isnβt to actually make money with it. At least not from the rental of the spaces. Itβs to make it sustainable and to build a really kick ass little art commune/community. Then make money from that, and with that, and with everyone involved, including a couple few affiliated nonprofits, I plan on starting in tandem.
Everyone will also have access to my gallery for bigger shows. And they will also have my 100% complete, professional and personal marketing, and other support, and collaboration.
I can make this deal even better for one person
I need to paint the whole place
Iβm willing to pay reasonable compensation and then use that to pay for the studio space for as many months as it will cover. My guess is potentially up to 4 to 6 months.
Let me know if youβre interested or if you know somebody who is might be. I need one person to do this and itβs the first thing I need to do.
Thanks!!!!!
