COLOR BOOST = MAINTENANCE ✨
Permanent makeup is designed to fade gradually, which means it needs maintenance to stay fresh, soft, and beautiful.
A Color Boost is a color refresh that we generally recommend every 9–16 months. With lip blushing, you can often wait a little longer, but with eyebrows, coming back at the right time is especially important.
As good-quality permanent makeup fades, the color can start looking a little cooler or grayer. This is completely normal. It usually just means the pigment needs a little more warmth and saturation.
What is not normal? Brows fading into obvious green or orange/red/purple tones can be a sign of incorrect pigment choice and technique.
How quickly your brows fade depends on many things: your skin type, age, skincare routine, lifestyle, and especially sun exposure. If you don’t protect your brows with SPF, the color can fade and cool down much faster. But even with great sun protection, fading will still happen over time — it is part of having permanent makeup.
And the longer you wait, the more work may be required to bring the color back. When pigment becomes extremely faded, your artist may need more passes and more saturation, which can mean more trauma to the skin than a simple yearly refresh.
